Palestinian captive martyred in Israeli occupation jails due to repression and torture

A Palestinian captive was martyred on Saturday in the Israeli jails due to the policy of repression and torture practiced by the Israeli authorities on prisoners.

The Detainees and Ex-detainees Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners Society said in a statement that the 59-year-old captive Abdul-Rahim Amer from Qalqilya was martyred in the Israeli Hadarim prison after he was subjected to torture and repression by the Israeli occupation forces.

The statement affirmed that the increasing number of the Palestinians prisoners who have been martyred due to physical and psychological torture in Israeli prisons after the aggression against Gaza, proves the occupation’s insistence to continue committing crimes against the Palestinian people, crimes that amount to war crimes and crimes against humanity that require holding the perpetrators accountable.

With the martyrdom of Abdul-Rahim Amer, the number of the Palestinian prisoners who have been martyred in the Israeli occupation jails since the aggression on Gaza, has risen to 16.
