Palestinian boy shot by occupation forces succumbs to injuries

A Palestinian youth, who was wounded by the Israeli gunfire in the besieged Gaza Strip, has died of his injuries, medical sources say, according to Press TV.

According to Palestinian officials, the 16-year-old, identified as Adnan Abu Khater, succumbed to his wounds on Friday a day after Israeli forces shot him in the leg in the Jabalia city, located four kilometers north of Gaza City.

The occupation forces  frequently target Palestinians along the border with Gaza, which has remained literally cut off from the outside world by a crippling Israeli blockade since 2007.

On December 29, 2013, two Palestinians were injured after an Israeli tank struck an open area in east of al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza.

The occupation forces also bomb the coastal enclave frequently, claiming the attacks are being conducted for defensive purposes. However, disproportionate force is always used, in violation of international law, and civilians are often killed or injured.
