Palestine should be kept alive as Islamic world’s major issue

 

Tehran – Secretary-General of International Conference in Support of Palestinian Intifada (Uprising) Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said on Saturday that the issue of Palestine should be kept alive as the major issue of the Islamic world.

Supporting the Palestinian nation and countering aggression of the Zionist Israel will effectively contribute to the security of the entire region, added Amir-Abdollahian, according to IRNA.

He made the remarks in a meeting here with the visiting wife of the Palestinian commander Martyr Qantar, a high-profile Lebanese … killed by the Zionist regime’s airstrike on a residential building in Jaramana near the Syrian capital in 2015.

Qantar’s wife, Zeinab Barjavi is in Tehran as one of the guests of the International Conference on the Palestinian Intifada which was held in the Iranian capital on Feb 21-22.

 

“Martyr Qantar who spent three decades of his life in the Zionist regime’s prisons is considered a role model for patience, resistance and self-sacrifice,” Amir-Abdollahian said.

He added that martyrs of resistance movement defended Islam with courage and awareness.

Amir-Abdollahian described the Sixth International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada (Uprising) as an effective and strategic measure in support of the Palestinian nation and combatants against the terrorist and child-killing Zionist regime, he condemned certain countries seeking normalization ties with the Zionist regime.

Muslims will never abandon their first Qibla and they will stay with the oppressed Palestinian nation until their complete victory and liberation of Beit ul-Moqaddas, Amir-Abdollahian, also special aid to Majlis speaker said.

Meanwhile, Zeinab Barjavi expressed pleasure over successful holding of the conference on Palestinian Intifada, appreciating Iran for its all-out support for the Palestinian nation.

“Iran has all the time stood beside the world oppressed nations and we will never forget the basic and pivotal role of the Supreme Leader (Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei) as well as the Iranian government, Majlis and nation’s support and sympathy,” she said.

The 6th International Conference in Support of the Palestinian Intifada ended on Wednesday evening issuing a 24-point final statement calling for an end to seven decades of Israeli occupation of Palestine.
