Palestine Liberation Army: Victory in October War of Liberation a turning point in contemporary Arab history
The Chief Staff of the Palestine Liberation Army said: The October Liberation War led by the founding leader Hafez al-Assad marked a new beginning in contemporary Arab history and as its effects extended to all aspects of the conflict with the Zionist enemy.
The Chief of Staff indicated in a statement issued on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of October War that the Palestine Liberation Army honorable participation in the battles of the October War is part of its sacred duty on the path to liberating Palestine and resisting the Zionist project.
The Chief of Staff affirmed that the Palestine Liberation Army will remain side by side with the men of the Syrian Arab Army in defense of the sovereignty and dignity of Syria, and in preparation for the battle to liberate our occupied land in the Golan and Palestine.
