Palestine Foreign Ministry: The expansion of settlement operations comes within the framework of annexation plans

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has affirmed that the Israeli occupation’s continued expansion of settlement operations in the Valley of Jordan the West Bank comes within the framework of implementing the ill-fated Deal of the Century, amid suspicious international silence.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that the continued violations of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinians, assaulting them and preventing them from entering their lands, destroying their properties and demolishing their homes and facilities rise to the level of war crimes.

The Foreign Ministry said that the silence of the international community encourages Israel to persist in its crimes and to continue implementing its settlement plans, liquidating the Palestinian issue and undermining any opportunity to establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. .

The Foreign Ministry called on the international community, the United Nations and its bodies to assume their moral and legal responsibilities  towards the Palestinian people, and to take the necessary measures to pressure the Israeli occupation authorities to halt their crimes in the occupied Palestinian territories.
