Palestine Foreign Ministry: International silence encourages the Israeli occupation to persist in its crimes

On December 6, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the silence of the international community and contentment with statements of condemnation encourages the Israeli occupation to persist in its crimes.

The silence of the international community encourages Israeli to continue implementing its settlement plans aimed at liquidating the Palestinian issue and undermining any opportunity to establish an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

“ The escalating settlement process in the occupied Palestinian territories recently expresses an unprecedented colonial incursion by the Israeli occupation,” WAFA News Agency quoted the Foreign Ministry .

The Foreign Ministry condemned the Israeli occupation’s announcement of the start of the actual steps to construct a new settlement road south of occupied Jerusalem.

On the other hand, The Governor of Jerusalem Adnan Ghaith called on the international community to stop the Israeli occupation crimes against the Palestinian people.

Ghaith called on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities and stop the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people, their land and their holy sites.

Ghaith said that the burning of the Church of Gethsemane in occupied Jerusalem on December 4 is part of the Israeli occupation’s crimes and its attempt to obliterate the identity of the Holy City.
