Palestine and Iraq declare 3 days of mourning over victims of Gaza Al-Mamadani Hospital Massacre

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas on Tuesday declared three days of mourning for the souls of the Palestinian martyrs who died as a result of the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation in Al-Mamadani Hospital in Gaza Strip.

Wafa Agency reported that Abbas declared general mourning for three days and flags will be flown at half-mast in honor of the Palestinian martyrs of the occupation massacre in Al-Mamadani  Hospital in “Al- Zaytoun” neighborhood in Gaza City.

For his part, Palestinian presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeinah confirmed that this heinous massacre committed by Israeli occupation is a crime of genocide and a humanitarian catastrophe, and the occupation authorities must be held accountable for it in international courts.

Abu Rudeinah  stressed that this brutal  crime is added to the series of crimes committed by the occupation against the Palestinian people since the beginning of the aggression on the Gaza Strip 11 days ago, which led to  thousands of martyrs and wounded, the majority of whom were children and women.

Meanwhile, The Iraqi government declared general mourning throughout Iraq for three days in loyalty and honor for the souls of the martyrs of the massacre committed by the Israeli occupation  in Gaza Strip, in which hundreds of innocent people were killed.

“While good efforts from all parts of the world are working to achieve a ceasefire in the occupied Palestinian territories, provide relief to the afflicted Palestinian people and alleviate the burden of the hideous attack carried out by the occupation forces , Al-Mamadani Hospital massacre came to express a complete war crime,” the Iraqi government official spokesman Bassem Al-Awadi said in a statement.

Al-Awadi confirmed that the Israeli occupation forces committed a massacre that devoid of all moral and humanitarian obligations through bombing Al-Madani Hospital in Gaza Strip, causing the death of hundreds of children, women, and leading to hundreds of injuries.

The Iraqi government’s statement called on the Arabs, friendly countries and the free world to adopt a unified stand  by issuing an urgent and immediate resolution from the UN Security Council to stop this ugly and blatant aggression.

The statement reiterated  Iraq’s firm and principled stand  on the right of the Palestinian people to a free and dignified life on their land and national land.

In this context, the Iraqi News Agency (INA) quoted the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs as condemning, in a statement, the Israeli occupation forces’ bombing of Al-Al-Mamadani  Hospital in Gaza Strip, stressing  Iraq’s firm and principled stand on the Palestinian issue, which has been the pivotal Arab issue.

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry called for an end to the criminal attacks on safe Palestinians, which constitute a serious violation of the provisions of international and humanitarian law and the most basic values of humanity, calling on the international community to intervene to stop and condemn these crimes, as they pose an imminen threat to collective security throughout the region.
