Pakistan sends new shipment of humanitarian aid to people affected by earthquake in Syria

A new shipment of humanitarian aid, provided by Pakistan to the Syria people, arrived on Sunday at Lattakia Port.

The shipment includes around 200 tons of relief and food supplies and electricity generators to be sent to the people affected by the earthquake that hit Syria last February.

Sending  Pakistani aid to the Syrian people has been continuous since the earthquake catastrophe, Ambassador of Pakistan in Damascus Shahid Akhtar said in a statement.

He affirmed the depth of the strategic ties between Syria and Pakistan, noting mutual cooperation in various fields, including trade, education and information technology.

In a related context,  Lattakia Governor Amer Hilal discussed with the Pakistani ambassador cooperation in the education, and technology fields, including opening a Pakistani School in Lattakia province and technical center for informatics and artificial intelligence, and training through specialists from the two countries.
