PA Speaker Due in Tehran Next Week

Peoples Assembly Speaker  Mohammad Jihad al-Laham is slated to pay a visit to Iran in coming days, a prominent Iranian lawmaker announced on Wednesday,according to FNA.

Chairman of the Iranian Parliament’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi made the remarks in a press conference here in Tehran today.

“The Syrian parliament speaker will pay a visit to Tehran next week to discuss regional issues (with Iranian officials),” Boroujerdi said.

Boroujerdi, heading a senior parliamentary delegation, was in Damascus last week and met with President Bashar al-Assad and the country’s senior officials .

During the meetings with Syrian officials, Boroujerdi and his accompanying delegation discussed bilateral ties, regional issues and specially the crisis in Syria.
