The abundance of its fresh springs and the beauty of the picturesque nature there, made the village of “Oyoun Al-Wadi” a destination for those wishing to enjoy the wonderful nature and fresh air due to its unique location as it mediates the governorates of Homs, Hama and Tartous.
The village, which rises about 650 meters above sea level and enjoys moderate climate in summer, is surrounded by a group of hills with many springs, the most famous of which are Ain Al-Dayaa, Ain Al-Hallaj, Abu Othman, Al-Basal, Al-Fawar, Ain Al-Qassuma and others.
The village is surrounded by mountains, namely the mountains of Dimas, Rumati, Dhahr al-Deeb, and Bala’a. These mountains are covered with forest trees such as laurel and oak, in addition to the plains and poplar trees that grow on the banks of rivers.
In the plains surrounding the village, the people grow fruit trees, including apples, which are a staple crop, along with peaches, cherries, peaches, pears, grapes and figs, in addition to grains such as wheat, barley, corn, lentils and chickpeas.
The population of the village is about 3000 people many of them are spread in countries of expatriation. The people of the village contribute to the implementation of many vital and service projects in it.
