Over 22.500 food parcels distributed in terrorist-besieged areas in Damascus countryside

About 6500 food parcels were distributed Tuesday among the people living in several terrorist-besieged areas in Damascus countryside, the Tishreen newspaper reported.

The food parcels distribution comes within the framework of efforts being exerted by the Syrian government, represented by the High Relief Committee, to distribute aid in areas besieged by the armed terrorist groups.

The aid were distributed by the High Relief Committee’s branch in Damascus countryside in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent  (SARC) in areas of Wadi Barada, Ein al-Fejeh, Der Maqran, Kfir al-iet, Jdedet al-Wadi, Ashrafeyet al-Wadi, Afra , Der Qanon and al-Hseneyeh.

On February 3rd, the Governorate of Damascus countryside and the SARC distributed 12.000 food parcels and hygiene kits to people living and al-Moaddameyeh and al-Tal areas in Damascus countryside.

The distribution of aid in al-Moaddameyeh area started on February 2nd where 2000 food parcels and hygiene kits were distributed despite the armed terrorist groups’ attempts to prevent the people from receiving the aid, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency said today that aid distribution among people living in al-Yarmouk camp, Yalda, Biet Sahem and Babbela areas, south of Damascus, was resumed yesterday with facilities from the Syrian government.

Well over 4.000 food parcels plus medicine were distributed to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people living in the camp, Head of the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s Politburo Ambassador Anwar AbdolHadi said.

Last April, hundreds of terrorists affiliated to the ISIS [Its Arabic acronym is Daesh] entered the Palestinian refugees camp of Yarmouk in collusion with terrorists affiliated to the al-Nusra Front to abort a local reconciliation deal that was due to be signed in the same month.

The ISIS terrorists perpetrated crimes against the people living in the camp and forced them to flee to nearby areas- Yalda, Babbela and Beit Sahem.
