ANKARA,(ST)_More than 1000 terrorists have crossed the Turkish border into Syria in the past three weeks, a Member of Parliament representing the Republican People’s Party (CHP) in Turkey confirms.
The MP Mehmed Ali Ediboglu was quoted on the Turkish Cumhuriyet newspaper as saying: “Since three weeks, Jihadists came by buses to Antakya as groups composed of 20-25 persons and then went to Guchchi and Bokolmoz towns to cross the border into Syria.”
He asserted that about 1000 terrorists crossed the Turkish border into Idlib and Aleppo to fight alongside the terrorist organizations in Syria.
The Turkish MP added that several weapons-laden trucks were sent from Iskenderun to Syria at midnight under the pretext of conveying humanitarian aid.
“The al-Nusra Front fighters get weapons from border towns,” Ediboglu said, adding that the government of Justice and Development Party (AKP) turns blind eye on the terrorists crossing border into Syria.
Two days ago, the Turkish Sozcu paper reported that the AKP supports and covers the Turkish terrorists’ joining the ISIS organization in Syria and facilitates their infiltration into it.
