Our students in Egypt: Syria will prevail thanks to the sacrifices of its loyal people and brave army

Cairo, (ST) – The National Union of Syrian Students, Egypt Branch, affirmed that on the seventy-fifth anniversary of the Evacuation Day, Syria, which liberated its land from invaders, continues to confront the terrorist war and the unjust siege imposed on it, adhering to its national stances and its anti-colonial approach to all colonial schemes.

In a statement on the evacuation anniversary, the branch indicated that this precious memory brings back to our memory the great sacrifices that Syria made in that era, as the Syrians sacrificed their children as martyrs and refused to surrender to the French occupier, teaching the whole world the most wonderful images of Valor and dignity.

The statement added that despite the difference in times, the Syrians today are defending their country not against one occupier only, but against several colonial countries trying to regain their illusions and arrogance to control Syria and obliged it to change its firm principled stances. However, the Syrian people and their brave army realized that preserving the homeland dear, honorable and free requires more sacrifices and the offering of martyrs, thus they achieved victory thanks to the sacred blood of their martyrs that watered the holy land of their country.

The statement clarified that the evacuation was one of the most important milestones that gave national dimensions to the Syrian national identity and gave the Syrian memory its extension in the conscience of generations…  Every victory achieved by the heroes of our Syrian Arab Army is an Eid for evacuation, an Eid of pride, victory, heroism, martyrdom and steadfastness.

The statement stressed that Syria will triumph with the vigor of its loyal people, its brave army and courageous leader, renewing the covenant to remain faithful to the great meanings and exploits of the blessed evacuation   in preserving the soil of the homeland and defending it in all forums.
