Tehran, (ST) – Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami affirmed that his country’s response to the assassination of nuclear scientist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh is inevitable, stressing that the Iranian people are determined to continue with their steadfastness in all fields.
Hatami explained during the funeral ceremony of Fakhrizadeh today that this crime increased Tehran’s determination to consolidate its power and continue its march.
He revealed that the weapons used in the assassination were of Israeli manufacture and were controlled via satellites.
Hatami pointed out that just as terrorism has been confronted in Syria, Iraq and the region, Iran will also confront these terrorist acts, stressing that no terrorism or stupid act will pass without a response and the perpetrators will be punished.
The Iranian Al-Alam TV quoted an informed source as saying today that the weapons used in the assassination of Fakhri Zadeh are Israeli-made, indicating that the Zionist entity has recruited elements hostile to the Iranian Islamic Revolution in order to carry out the assassination to increase pressure on Iran to stop its accelerated scientific development.
The representative of the Security and Foreign Policy Committee in the Iranian Shura Council, Abu al-Fadl Amawi, affirmed earlier that, Israeli intelligence had organized the assassination of Fakhri Zadeh, with the possibility of intelligence from other countries being involved in it.
