Orban: The West seeks to expand and prolong the war in Ukraine

Budapest (ST): Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has warned against the West’s strategy of expanding the conflict in Ukraine and reducing the chances of a peaceful solution.

Orban was quoted as saying during the Conservative Political Action Conference in the American city of Dallas: “The strategy of globalization leaders, in my opinion, expands the war and prolongs it, and thus reduces the chances of peace, stressing that without negotiations between Russia and the United States there will be no peace in Ukraine.

Orban had confirmed earlier that the anti-Russian sanctions did not shake Moscow, and that Europe was the one who bore the consequences, and the governments of its countries were suffering an economic and political crisis, and European countries had lost their opportunity to mediate in the conflict in Ukraine because they failed to implement the Minsk agreements.
