“Orange” exhibition depicts children’s talents

Abu Rummaneh Cultural center in Damascus is currently holding an art exhibition for children entitled “Orange”.

The five-day event shows paintings drawn by children with spontaneous colors besides sculptures.

Artist Lujain Hamdan, the organizer of the exhibition told Syria Times e-newspaper that the exhibition is the result of her teaching to children drawing for three years.

“The exhibition includes paintings for 18 children aged between 3 and12 and it shows how their works have improved with the passing of time,” she added.

Hamdan went on to say: “The title of the exhibition Orange inspired from the color orange which reflects activity, enthusiasm, warmth and the season of autumn. This color shows children’s paintings that decorated the walls of this center; it also reflects the beauty of the natural scenes and expresses love and serenity.”

She referred to the importance of displaying children’s paintings in this exhibition as it supports and encourages them and to present what they do to the public and to help them to express what is inside them through drawing, so that the world can see their works and talents.

For his part, the participating child, Abdel Hadi Qazazo said that he used his imaginations to draw paintings.
