Opening of the Honorary Consulate of Syria in Slovakia

The Honorary Consulate of the Syrian Arab Republic was opened today in the Slovak capital Bratislava in the presence of Ambassador Dr. Hassan Khaddour, Permanent Representative of Syria to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Vienna, Ambassador of Syria to Austria, and Ibrahim Ali, Honorary Syrian Consul to Slovakia.

The opening ceremony was attended by Slovak Deputy Minister of Economy Vladimir Shimona, Director of the Middle East Department Valier Franco, Dean of Honorary Consuls in Slovakia Ikor Yonas, Libyan Ambassador to Slovakia Khaled Shaaban, Ambassador of Palestine Safa Khalidi, and a number of members of the Syrian community in Slovakia.
