Opening of cosmetic industries and its accessories exhibition in Damascus

With the participation of 74 local companies specialized in the cosmetic industries and their accessories, the activities of the World of Beauty 2022 exhibition opened on Saturday in Damascus Fairgrounds with the presence of Arab delegations.

The exhibition constitutes a platform to introduce companies working in the field of cosmetics, skin care and hair, in addition to the raw materials they need, and an opportunity to exchange experiences between the participating parties.

General Director of the General Establishment for International Fairs and Markets Ghassan Fakiani noted in a statement to reporters that the exhibition is being held for the second time under the auspices of the Establishment on an area of ​​2,975 square meters. He stressed the keenness of the Establishment and the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade to provide support for the Syrian product that carries international specifications in order to promote it and because it covers local and foreign markets and there is a growing demand for it.

Secretary of Damascus Chamber of Industry and member of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry, Engineer Ayman Mawlawi, pointed out that what distinguishes this exhibition is the presence of new companies from various Syrian governorates, in addition to the presence of distinguished products of their quality. He pointed to the Chamber’s support for such exhibitions and for participants to export their products to foreign markets.

Mohie El-Din Arab Al-Halabi, member of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce, indicated that the Federations of Chambers of Commerce and Industry are currently working to organize new exhibitions outside the country during the coming period with the aim of promoting Syrian products and industry. The procedures for participating in these exhibitions will be facilitated for companies and industrialists.

Ahmed Al-Mady, Director General of the Armada Corporation, the organizer of the exhibition, underlined the importance of securing the requirements of the cosmetic industry, as it is a rich and vital sector. He indicated that the current exhibition witnessed an increase in the number of participating companies by more than twenty percent due to the success and demand it achieved in its first course.

From Iraq, Yasser Al-Issa, a member of the Board of Directors of Baghdad Chamber of Commerce, stated that he attended the exhibition in order to see the products of the new companies that entered the market recently. He referred to the competition between the participating companies, which prompts some traders and industrialists from Arab countries to conclude a number of partnerships with Syrian traders through exhibition.

From Yemen, the commercial attaché at the Yemeni embassy in Damascus, Muhammad Hamid Omar, said that he is visiting the exhibition for the second time and noted the development witnessed by the exhibition compared to the previous one, especially in terms of improving the quality of products and the way they are packaged and presented, which reflects the quality of the Syrian product that competes in foreign markets.

The exhibition continues until the twenty-fifth of this month, and is open daily from 4:pm until 10:pm.
