AMMAN, (ST) _ One displaced Syria died and his tow children were severely burned in al- Zaatari camp in Jordan, by a fire in their tent.
AFP quoted Anmar Hmoud General Coordinator for the displaced Syrians in Jordan Anmar Hammoud as saying that :” a fire broke out in one tent of al- Zaatari camp on Saturday late night , led to the death of one person and wounding his two children severely.”
“The two children are in critical health condition and were admitted to hospital.” Hammoud said.
In February, a seven-year-old girl died while her father and two of her brothers had medium burns in a fire in their tent.
Two days before, 35 tents in the said camp were burnt but no human casualties were reported.
The Syrian government called on citizens who were forced to leave the country to return to their homes and vowed to insure them living requirements. As a result, scores of displaced Syrians in Lebanon and Jordan returned back home.
