On the sixth anniversary of liberation, what did the people of Aleppo say about their city’s victory over terrorism?

Aleppo residents still recall how mortar shells used to fall on the city’s neighborhoods, streets, roundabouts and corners. They still remember how civilians used to fall victim to the savagery of terror. This is how Imad Khallouf, an electrical equipment dealer, recalled a chapter from his diaries on the way to his shop on the occasion of the sixth anniversary of the liberation of Aleppo, when terrorism was lurking in the neighboring streets, hundreds of meters away.

Manar Mardini, a computer worker in administrative affairs at the General Establishment for Railways, praised the anniversary of the liberation of Aleppo, noting that it embodies all the sublime national meanings that restored Aleppo to its vibrant spirit. Asaad Qanaa, the owner of a clothing store, said: “The liberation of Aleppo is a national victory for Aleppo and for the whole of Syria. The liberation of Aleppo thwarted the plots, and restored security and safety throughout the country. This is not equal to anything in the world.”
