On the sidelines of the Climate Conference in Sharm El-Sheikh… Syrian-Russian talks to enhance environmental cooperation

The Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Engineer Hussein Makhlouf, and the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation, Sergei Anopriyenko discussed ways to strengthen and develop bilateral cooperation relations between Syria and Russia in the field of environment and combating climate change to limit its effects.

During his meeting with Anopriyenko on the sidelines of participation in the 27th Conference of the states parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Sharm El-Sheikh, Makhlouf stressed the need to activate the cooperation agreement previously signed between the two sides in the field of environment and to hold bilateral meetings to advance this cooperation.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Egypt, and the Deputy Minister of Local Administration and Environment.
