On the sidelines of St. Petersburg Forum, Finance Minister meets with the Syrian community  

On the sidelines of Syria’s participation in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Finance Minister Dr. Kinan Yaghi met with the Syrian community in St. Petersburg at the honorary consulate in the city, in the presence of the Syrian ambassador to Moscow, Dr. Bashar Al-Jaafari.

Minister Yaghi reviewed the difficulties facing the Syrian economy at the current stage and the horizon of cooperation with the community to overcome these difficulties.

For his part, Ambassador Al-Jaafari stressed the importance of the solidarity of the Syrian community, which is an example to be followed in their love for their country and people, expressing his constant readiness to help and support all members of the community.

For their part, the Syrian community stressed the importance of periodic meetings, expressing their happiness with this meeting, which establishes a new horizon of communication and cooperation.

Yaghi heads the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic participating in the activities of the 26th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which started on Wednesday and will continue until the 17th of this June. Heads of states and governments, ministers, ambassadors, officials, presidents and representatives of major Russian and international companies from many countries are participating in the event. The Russian President Vladimir Putin will address the forum on Friday.
