On the occasion of the anniversary of the evacuation, art exhibition about Damascus opened in Romania

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the evacuation of the French occupation from Syria, the European-Romanian-Arab Cultural Center held an art exhibition on Damascus in the Romanian capital, Bucharest. The exhibition is scheduled to last for two weeks.

The exhibition includes 130 paintings drawn by a number of Romanian artists, in addition to Syrian plastic arts paintings as well as images of the homes and neighborhoods of old Damascus, showing their historical and heritage importance.

During the opening of the exhibition, a number of Romanian specialists in history, art and heritage spoke about the history of Damascus and its urban patterns, and expressed their desire to visit the Syrian capital.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by Members of the Romanian Parliament, Marian Puscacu, Chairman of the Syrian-Romanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee, representatives of some Romanian governmental institutions, cultural and artistic figures, and a large number of visitors.
