On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Emirates Red Crescent distributes food aid for earthquake victims in Lattakia

Latakia (ST) – The delegation of the Emirate Red Crescent Authority distributed today food baskets to affected families in Lattakia Governorate, as part of the Gallant Knight 2 mission in Syria, which was launched by the Joint Operations Command of the UAE Ministry of Defense, after the disaster of the earthquake that struck Syria on the 6th of last February.

The representative of the UAE Red Crescent delegation Nasser Al-Badwawi indicated that the initiative aimed to distribute food baskets to about 1000 families affected by the earthquake in Lattakia, with the aim of alleviating their suffering, as Eid Al-Adha comes.

He noted the continuous humanitarian and relief efforts of the UAE, in cooperation with the Syrian authorities and the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in order to reach all affected families.
