Tens of Palestinians were martyred and injured today as a result of the ongoing Israeli occupation aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip which continues for the 59th day. Dozens of homes were destroyed and the Kamal Adwan Hospital was bombed.
The Palestinian WAFA News Agency reported that the occupation warplanes this dawn bombed the northern gate of Kamal Adwan Hospital in Jabalia, north of Gaza Strip, killing 4 and wounding at least 9 and causing a state of panic among patients. More than 10,000 displaced people took refuge in the hospital seeking safety. Also, the occupation warplanes destroyed residential blocks close to the hospital, resulting in the martyrdom and injury of dozens.
As the occupation seem to only target civilians, their aircrafts bombed a school housing displaced people in Jabalia, homes in Beit Lahia in the north of Gaza Strip, in the center of Deir al-Balah, Rafah and Khan Yunis in the south, the Al-Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza, and a mosque in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in the east, resulting in the death and injury of tens of Palestinians, including a female journalist and three Civil Defense members.
The occupation tanks bombed a car on Salah al-Din Street, north of Khan Yunis, which led to the death and injury of a number of Palestinians. The occupation artillery also intensified its shelling of homes in the Nuseirat camp, the areas of Palestine Square and al-Shabiyah, the vicinity of the Al- Mamadani Hospital, and the Shujaiya neighborhood in Gaza.
The Gaza Media Office confirmed that the occupation’s bombing of Kamal Adwan Hospital is a serious violation of the provisions of international and humanitarian law as well as the most basic values of humanity. All of this demonstrates the existence of an integrated and approved Israeli plan aimed at undermining the health sector, including hospital buildings.
The office explained that the occupation directly bombed more than 14 hospitals in Gaza City and its north with missiles and tank shells, attempted to assassinate many doctors and detained 35 doctors, on top of that list was the Director General of Al-Shifa Medical Complex.
The office called on the international community, led by the United States, to stop giving the green light to the occupation to target hospitals and destroy the health sector in Gaza, as it is clear that this is an organized war crime that are punishable and criminalized by all international laws and conventions, and silence over it is considered as active participation in it.
