On the 103rd anniversary of the ill-fated Balfour Declaration, Palestinians assert that plans to liquidate their cause will not pass
Three hundred years will pass tomorrow after Britain’s crime of the ill-fated Balfour Declaration, which marked the beginning of the usurping Zionist entity on Arab land, and the catastrophic consequences that resulted from it.
The Palestinian people and the peoples of the entire region are still paying the price even now at a time when Palestinians are facing major challenges.
Less dangerous than this Declaration is the so-called American-Israeli Deal of the Century aimed at liquidating the Palestinian issue.
On the second of November 1917, British Foreign Minister Arthur James Balfour sent a letter to the Jewish Lord Lionel Walter de Rothschild, one of the leaders of the Zionist Movement, at the order of the British Prime Minister David Lloyd George, which focused on the extent to which the Zionists were able to achieve Britain’s goals and preserve its interests in the Arab region.
This constituted one of the most dangerous chapters of the conspiracies that have been hatched for the Arab region, which continue to this day, with the aim of fragmenting and destroying them and eliminating all the necessities of a decent living for their children in the service of the colonial plans and objectives of Western countries and the oppressive Israeli occupation.
The Balfour Declaration set a dangerous historical precedent and a blatant violation of all international norms and laws by granting the Palestinian land to the Zionist gangs.
The displacement of the true Palestinian owners, and the establishment of the usurper Israeli occupation entity in 1948, while the repercussions of this Declaration and the chapters of the conspiracy continue todaywhich represented in the declaration of US President Donald Trump in December 2017 that occupied Jerusalem is the capital of Israeli occupation and the transfer of his country’s embassy to it in mid-May 2018.
A member of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) Wasel Abu Yusef said that the Balfour Declaration is one of the greatest crimes committed against the Palestinian people.
Fatah spokesman Osama Al-Qawasmi statedthat the conspiracy chapters are still continuing through annexation, settlement and Judaization plans, and the so-called Deal of the Century that will not be able to undermine the will of the Palestinian people.
Al-Qawasmi said that the memory of the Balfour Declaration bears all the meanings of pain and suffering for the Palestinian people.
Al-Qawasmi called on Britain to apologize to the Palestinian people for this Declaration and the resulting tragedies and displacement of Palestinians from their homes.
Member of the Central Committee of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine(PFLP) Osama Haj Ahmed said that the Balfour Declaration is the greatest historical injustice that occurred with the conspiracy of the colonial powers against the Palestinians.
The Secretary-General of the Palestinian People’s Party, Bassam Al-Salihi, stated that the repercussions of the sinister Balfour Declaration are continuing through the Deal of the Century and the colonial annexation plans, with the support of Washington, which is working to liquidate the Palestinian cause.
Al-Salehi called on the international community to support the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination, to raise their voice loudly against the crimes of the Israeli occupation, and to work to halt this occupation, which continues to kill, settle, and ethnic cleansing against the Palestinians.
A member of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) Mahmoud Khalaf said that the Balfour Declaration is a crime against humanity that resulted in the plight of the Palestinian people in 1948.
For his part, the expert in international lawSalah Abd al-Ati called for the formation of Palestinian and international legal committees in order to prosecute Britain for the crime of the Balfour Declaration and to ensure its apology for this crime to the Palestinian people.
Abd al-Ati pointed out that the important legal step is to go to the International Court of Justice in order to prosecute Britain against the Balfour Declaration.
