On International Nurses Day, Nursing staff are in high alert

On the 12th of May every year, the countries of the world celebrate Nurses Day with the aim of highlighting the contributions of health personnel working in the field of nursing to meet the needs of society.

It is noteworthy that the burdens of the nursing staff have increased with the spread of the Corona virus in all countries of the world, as more effort by the medical teams of nurses, technicians and paramedics is required.

In Syria, nurses continue their work as an essential part of the work of medical personnel in providing care for patients in hospitals, health centers and medical points.

As the nurses exert all  effort required to continue the work of the health sector and face the challenges imposed on it during the years of the terrorist war on Syria, we find them today very ready to address the Corona virus and provide care in quarantine and medical isolation centers around-the-clock.

International Nurses Day was chosen in January of 1974 as it coincides with the anniversary of the birth of the British “Florence Nightingale” who  is famous as being the founder of modern nursing.
