On general strike anniversary, the People’s Assembly reaffirms: Golan is an integral part of Syria

Damascus-(ST)- The People’s Assembly reaffirmed that every particle of the soil of the occupied Syrian Arab Golan is an integral part of Syrian land, and its steadfast sons prove day after day their adherence to their Syrian affiliation and identity despite all the criminal practices of the occupying Zionist entity against them.

The Council said in a statement issued yesterday on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of the comprehensive strike of the people in the occupied Syrian Golan in rejection of the false decision to “annex the Golan” to the usurping Zionist entity, which falls today: “The Golan is in our conscience and our minds, we, in the People’s Assembly, renew our firm and permanent support by all means for our people in the occupied Syrian Arab Golan in their struggle to restore their usurped land and return it to the motherland, Syria.”

The Assembly concluded its statement by saluting the steadfast people in the Golan as they confront the occupation daily violations and attacks. It demanded freedom to the Syrian captives in the occupation’s jails, stressing that the heroism of the brave people in the Golan will remain a symbol for the freedom fighters in the face of tyranny and occupation.
