Omani Writer: Syria is a focal point that cannot be ignored

Editor in chief of the Omani Al Roya newspaper, Hatem Al Taei, confirmed that Syria is one of the countries that constitutes the Arab Center and is a focal point that cannot be ignored. He indicated that the return of Syria to the league of Arab States “represents a part of the state of the restoration of the Arab consciousness and efforts to rebuild the Arab cohesion again”.

In an article under the title: “The Arab and confronting crises” Al Taei pointed out that the importance of Syria is not only based on its pan Arab past, but also due to its strategic location, as a major point of contact between the Gulf states and southern Europe through its ports overlooking the Mediterranean . He stressed the need for the Arab countries to benefit from the return of Syria to its Arab surroundings.

Al Taei explained that the investment of joint Arab Cooperation will benefit the entire region, considering that it is necessary to benefit from the state of Arab reconciliation, to prevent  regional and international powers from controlling the fate of Arab peoples and countries.

AlTaei pointed out the importance of inviting President Bashar Al Assad to the Arab summit to be held in Saudi Arabia on May 19, stressing that the summit represents a favorable opportunity for Arab reunification, the return of solidarity between the Arab countries.
