Oman expresses solidarity with Syria over latest US attacks

Damascus -Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad on Saturday received a phone call from his Omani counterpart Badr bin Hamad Al-Busaidi during which the two sides discussed developments in the region.

Al-Busaidi expressed his country’s continuous solidarity with Syria and its keenness on Syria’s security and sovereignty over all its territory, noting the latest American attacks on several sites in Syria.

The Omani minister affirmed that interference in the affairs of the region’s countries must stop, urging an immediate halt of the Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people and calling for putting an end to the occupation of all Palestinian and other Arab lands.

For his part, Al-Mikdad, stressed that Syria appreciates Oman’s support for Syria in the confrontation of the cowardly attacks, occupation and separatist agendas. He pointed out that the latest US attacks on Syrian and Iraqi territories aimed mainly at empowering ISIS terrorist organization which the US is sponsoring and at impeding the enhancement of fraternity sand neighborhood relations between Syria and Iraq.
