Olympic team qualify for Asia Cup quarter-finals

The Syrian Olympic soccer team have made it through to the 1st U-22 Asia Cup finals quarterfinals after beating their Yemeni counterparts 1-0.

Striker NasouhNakdali scored the stunning goal in the 26th minute with a close-range shot after receiving a nice cross from Mardikian.

With this marvelous win, Syria topped Group C with seven points while the UAE team, who also advanced to the quarterfinals, finished second with five points.

The Syrian side will take on S.Korea on January 19 in Oman.

In their opener, the Syrian team drew with their Emirati team 1-1 and managed to win their second match 1-0 against Korea.
