Okamura: The Erdogan regime supports terrorism in Syria and Iraq

Prague, (ST) – Deputy Speaker of the Czech Parliament Tomio Okamura affirmed that the regime of Turkish President Recep TayyipErdogan supports terrorist groups in Syria, Iraq, Nagorny Karabakh, Libya and other countries, it also poses a threat to the security and sovereignty of countries in the European Union such as Greece and Cyprus.

Okamura indicated in an interview with the Czech Parliamentary Papers website on Wednesday that this system is not democratic and continues to violate the foundations of freedom. He affirmed once again his party’s strong opposition in Turkey joining the European Union.

Okamura announced that his party, in cooperation with other European parties, recently launched an initiative to collect signatures in European countries on a petition calling for an end to negotiations with the Turkish regime over joining the European Union.
