Oil Ministers from Syria, Jordan, Egypt and Lebanon will meet in Amman next Wednesday

The Jordanian capital Amman hosted a meeting of oil and energy ministers from Syria, Egypt and Lebanon as well as Jordan on September 8th.

The Jordanian News Agency (Petra) said that the meeting comes at the invitation of the Jordanian Oil Minister Hala Zatti to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation for transporting the Egyptian gas to Lebanon through Jordan and Syria.

On the request of the Lebanese side on September 4th, Syria agreed to transport Egyptian gas and Jordanian electricity through its land Syria to Lebanon.
