Israeli occupation seizes agricultural Palestinian lands south of Nablus for settlement expansion

The Israeli occupation authorities have announced a new plan to establish 543 settlement units to expand a settlement already built on the land of the villages of Jaloud and Tarms’aya in Nablus, the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s (PLO) National Bureau for Defending the Land and Resisting Settlements said in its weekly report published on Saturday.

According to the report, as a result of this plan, 376 dunums of agricultural Palestinian land will be seized by the occupation amid the deadly silence and inaction of the international community towards these illegal Israeli practices.

The report said that the occupation continues to implement a Judaization plan in occupied Al-Quds. It has set up a new checkpoint for its forces near the entrance of Hazma town, to the northeast of Al-Quds. The Israeli bulldozers razed swathes of land and opened a settlement road that encircles the town and paves the way for seizing hundreds of dunums of Palestinian land in the vicinity of this area.

The occupation demolished several houses in Ramallah city and delivered notifications about demolishing a number of houses and agricultural facilities in several areas in the West Bank cities of Nablus, Al-Khalil, Jenin, Salfit and Ariha, the report added.

The report pointed out that the occupation forces prevented the Palestinians from rehabilitating the entrance of Sebastia town, north of Nablus and closed the roads leading to the town of Bita, south of city

The report went on to say that the Israeli settlers stormed several West bank towns and cities under the protection of the occupation forces. They stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque as well as the old city and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied Al-Quds and attacked the locals in these areas, causing injuries to many Palestinians. Many settlers also stormed the Al-Khider town in Bethlehem and sprayed the agricultural lands with toxic pesticides, terminating 400 grape trees. They also attacked the Palestinians’ houses and properties and burned dozens of olive trees in Nablus, the report said.
