Israeli naval forces attack Palestinian fishermen off Gaza

The Israel occupation’s naval forces on Saturday opened fire on unarmed Palestinian fishermen as they were sailing off the coast of Gaza City, forcing them to return to the shore.

WAFA news agency reported that the Israeli navy fired live bullets and water cannons towards fishermen who were sailing around six nautical miles away from Gaza, forcing them to abandon their fishing mission and return to the shore.

The Israeli naval forces continuously harass Gaza fishermen, shoot at them, damage their boats and make arrests. Sometimes fishermen are injured or killed during the attacks.

In another development, the Israeli occupation forces attacked the Palestinians in the West Bank city of Nablus.

The occupation forces stormed into the town of Barqa, northwest of Nablus and attacked the Palestinians by firing gas bombs at them, causing dozens of injuries and suffocation cases among the Palestinians.

Meantime, four Palestinians were injuries today in crackdown by the Israeli occupation forces on demonstrators in the village of Kafr Qaddum, in the occupied West Bank city of Qalqilia. The demonstrators were calling for opening the road of their village which has been closed for 17 years.

Moreover, two Palestinians from the neighborhoods of Silwan and Sheikh Jarrah in occupied Al-Quds demolished their own house and shop respectively after they were forced to do so by Israeli occupation.
