Occupation forces storm a number of cities in the occupied West Bank

Occupied al-Quds, (ST) – The Israeli occupation forces arrested 50 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, most of them from Hebron.

Ma’an News Agency reported that the occupation forces stormed the city of Hebron and arrested 43 Palestinians, and also stormed the cities of Bethlehem and Ramallah, and arrested 7 Palestinians.

In a statement, the Prisoner Club indicated that since the beginning of this year, the occupation forces have launched widespread arrest campaigns of Palestinians in various cities and towns of the West Bank, especially Hebron, Jenin and occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem), where they arrested more than 3000 Palestinians in the West Bank between January and last August.

The statement pointed out that the campaign of arrests carried out by the occupation forces today is the largest since the beginning of this year, stressing that this escalation is a crime in light of the continuing spread of the Corona epidemic and the increasing number of infected people with the virus among the prisoners in the occupation prisons, which endangers their lives.

The statement pointed out that the occupation authorities ignore all the continuous Palestinian and international appeals and demands for the release of prisoners, especially those who are sick, and their response will always be to arrest more Palestinians and turn the epidemic into a tool of oppression and abuse.
