Israeli settlers block main road to Masafer Yatta area
On the other hand in Hebron, Israeli settlers on Sunday blocked the main road leading to Masafer Yatta area, a collection of 19 Palestinian hamlets in the farthest south of the occupied West Bank, according Wafa News Agency.
Rateb Jabour, a local anti-occupation activist, told WAFA that settlers blocked with rocks the main road used by Palestinians to access Masafer Yatta area, denying access of Palestinians into and out of the area.
Settler violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli occupation authorities.
There are over 600,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Al-Quds (Jerusalem) in violation of international law.
