OCCUPIED TERRITORIES- The Israeli aggression on Gaza continued for the third day causing more deaths and destruction in the besieged strip. The death toll has so far climbed to 25.
An Israeli air attack in the central Gaza Strip tonight left one Palestinian dead, reported the Palestinian Health Ministry.
He was identified as Iyad Abdullah Shrihi, 34, according to the Palestinian Wafa news agency.
Another Palestinian, 37-year-old Hani Hamdan Abu Shaar, also died of his wounds sustained in an earlier strike on Rafah in the south of the Gaza Strip.
This brings the total number of Palestinians killed in two days of Israeli strikes on Gaza to 25.
A second Palestinian infant was killed today in the ongoing Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip in addition to two more Palestinians, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry.
Maria Ahmad Ramadan al-Ghazali, 4 months, was killed along with her father, Ahmad Ramadan al-Ghazali, 31, and Eman Abdullah Asraf, 30, when their apartment in a Beit Lahiya building was hit by Israeli missiles. Eight people were also injured in the attack and were taken to the Indonesian hospital for treatment.
A 14-month old infant and her pregnant mother were killed when Israel launched its aerial attacks on the Gaza Strip on Saturday. Another pregnant woman was killed today in the attacks.
Israel continued today to bomb high rise buildings in the Gaza Strip, apartments and cars causing the high number of dead and wounded among the civilian population.
Later reports said 12-year-old Abdul Rahman Talal Abu al-Jidyan and Abdul Rahim Mustafa Madhoun were also killed in the same attack on the high rise in Beit Lahiya.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas instructed Palestine’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, to consider calling for a meeting of the UN Security Council to bring a halt to the Israeli aggression on the Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, said Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesman for Abbas.
He said “the horrific silence of the international community is what encourages Israel to continue with its crimes against our people.”
