Occupation forces close the Ibrahimi Mosque and attack worshiper

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Israeli occupation authorities closed on Wednesday the IbrahimiMosque in the center of the West Bank city of Hebron to Palestinian worshipers.

The director of the Ibrahimi Mosque, Hefzy Abu Sneina, told Wafa News Agency that, the Israeli occupation forces had invaded all the corridors and courtyards of the Ibrahimi Mosque, assaulted the employees of the Ministry of Awqaf, expelled the worshipers and closed it. He pointed out that, these aggressive practices come within their plans to Judaize and seize the Haram.

In flagrant violation of human rights charters and all the laws that stipulate not violating the sanctity of holy places, the occupation forces and settlers escalate their attacks on holy sites in the Palestinian territories.

On the other hand, dozens of Palestinians demonstrated on Wednesday in front of the headquarters of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Khan Yunis,  south of the besieged Gaza Strip, in support of the prisoners in Israeli occupation jails.

According to Ma’an News Agency, the demonstrators raised pictures of the six Palestinian prisoners who liberated themselves from Gilboa detention camp, and banners condemning the violations and crimes of Israeli occupation. They called on international human rights and humanitarian organizations to assume their responsibilities and provide protection for prisoners in Israeli jails in accordance with international laws and norms.
