Occupation forces carried out 636 attacks on the West Bank last month

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Settlement and Wall Resistance Commission revealed that the Israeli occupation forces and settlers launched 636 attacks on cities and towns in the West Bank during the past month.

Wafa News Agency quoted the Commission as saying on Wednesday in a report on the occupation’s attacks during the month of February that these attacks concentrated in the city of Nablus, Jenin and Ramallah, including incursions and assaults with bullets and bombs on Palestinians, razing lands, uprooting trees, seizing property and demolishing homes.

The commission indicated that the occupation forces demolished 69 homes and commercial facilities during the past month, most of them in the cities of Al-Quds (Jerusalem) and Nablus, while notices were handed over to demolish 66 homes and facilities, most of which were in Jenin and Salfit.

The Commission stated that the occupation forces and settlers swept more than 620 dunums of the lands of Salfit, Al-Khalil (Hebron), Nablus and Tulkarm, and seized 139 dunums of the lands in Ariha ( Jericho) and 252 dunums of the lands of the village of Hizma in Al-Quds to expand settlement operations.

The occupation forces also uprooted 562 fruit trees, most of which are olive trees in the cities of Ramallah and Al-Khalil.

The Head of the Commission, Moayad Shaaban stated that the occupation authorities provide protection to settlers during their attacks on the Palestinians, the most recent and brutal of which was carrying out 300 attacks last Sunday on the town of Hawara and several towns south of Nablus.

“This matter led to the martyrdom of a Palestinian, the injury of more than 260, and the burning of 11 homes and 1,200 cars”, he added.
