The Israeli occupation forces attack the ancient Khan Al-Laban and destroy parts of it

On January 25th, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the archaeological site of Khan al-Laban in the eastern village of Laban in the West Bank city of Nablus and demolished parts of it.

The Head of the village council Yaqoub Aweys told Wafa News Agency that the Israeli occupation forces stormed the town and surrounded the Khan, and demolished gates, windows and expansions for the second time in a row after they were repaired.

Khan Al-Laban is subject to repeated incursions by the Israeli occupation forces and settlers in an attempt to seize and Judaize it.

On the other hand, the occupation prevented the Hebron Rehabilitation Committee from completing the restoration of the Ibrahimi Mosqueand maintenance works on the Tomb of the Patriarchs.

The Director of the Ibrahimi Mosque, Hafzi Abu Sneina, told Wafa News Agency that the Israeli occupation forces prevented the staff of the Reconstruction Committee from completing the restoration work on the Mosque.

Abu Sneina said that the Israeli occupation forces prevented,  last Sunday and Thursday, the staff of the Reconstruction Committee from entering the campus and completing the restoration work inside it.

He said that these Israeli aggressive practices are part of the occupation’s systematic policy of judaizing the Mosque and seizing it.

On January 24th, the Israeli occupation forces prevented the Al Aqsa Reconstruction Committee from completing the restoration work of the Dome of the Rock.
