Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – Dozens of Palestinian students, including a child, were injured on Monday, as the Israeli occupation forces attacked a demonstration in the town of Tekoua, south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank. The participants in the demonstration denounced the crimes of the occupation against the Palestinians.
Palestinian media reported that the occupation forces fired bullets, sound bombs and poison gas at dozens of students, who went out to a demonstration near the Al-Khansa School in the Khirbet Al-Deir area in the town of Tekoua’.
A few days ago, the Palestinian child Rayan Suleiman, 7, was killed as a result of the Israeli occupation forces’ assault on him in the Khirbet al-Deir area, while chasing school students as they were returning to their homes.
142 settlers storm into Al-Aqsa Mosque
On the other hand, on Monday, dozens of Israeli settlers renewed their storming into Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Palestinian media reported that 142 settlers stormed into Al-Aqsa Mosque from the Mughrabi Gate, and carried out provocative tours in its courtyards, under heavy guard of the occupation forces.
It is to be noted that 4,426 settlers stormed into the mosque during the past week.
Foreign Ministry condemns Israeli forces’ killing of two Palestinians in Jalazone refugee camp
In another development, in Ramallah, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Monday condemned what it described as “the heinous crime of execution” committed by the Israeli occupation forces in Jalazone refugee camp, north of Ramallah, that led to the killing of Basel Basbous, 19, and Khaled Anbar, 22, residents of Jalazone, and the injury of Rafat Salameh, 19, from Birzeit town during a raid of the northern part of Ramallah, Wafa News Agency reported.
The Ministry described the killings in a statement as a war crime and a crime against humanity to be added to the list of extra-judicial executions committed by the occupation forces against the Palestinian people, holding the Israeli government fully and directly responsible for this crime, which is a direct result of instructions by the political leadership to the soldiers to shoot and kill Palestinians even if they do not pose a threat to their lives.
It said that each person killed by the Israeli soldiers is not simply a statistic, but there are families behind them who bereave and lament their deaths.
The Foreign Ministry called on the international community to break its silence regarding the Israeli killing of Palestinians and the historical injustice that has befallen them. It stressed that it will follow up on this crime, similar to previous crimes, with the International Criminal Court.
