Mahomoud Abbas: Netanyahu’s intention to to annex more lands in West Bank is a violation of international conventions
On the other hand in New York, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that the announcement by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of his intention to annex Palestinian lands in the West Bank is a flagrant violation of international conventions.
“Netanyahu’s declaration of annexing lands from the West Bank and Judaizing Islamic and Christian holy sites is a clear violation of international conventions and treaties,” Abbas told Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly against the Palestinians.
Lavrov renewed his country’s support for the Palestinian cause in international forums and called for a settlement in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy.
