Occupation forces shut down Nablus-Jenin road
Meanwhile, in Nablus, Israeli occupation forces shut down on Sunday a major section of the Nablus-Jenin road in the north of the occupied West Bank, denying access of Palestinian traffic to the road, according to local sources.
Mohammad Azem, mayor of the nearby Sebastia village, told WAFA News Agency that Israeli occupation soldiers shut down the road using a metal bar outside the illegal Israeli settlement of Shavei Shomron, about 8 kilometers to the west of Nablus, forcing Palestinian vehicles to use alternative, longer routes.
This section of the road, which is considered a major point of transportation connecting the north, center and south of the occupied West Bank, has been shut down almost all of the time for nearly one month, and has only been reopened intermittently for short periods by the Israeli occupation forces.
