The Israeli occupation’s open war on the occupied city of Al-Quds continues as the Israeli detention campaigns, house demolitions and violations against Islamic and Christian sanctities escalate daily with the aim of uprooting the Palestinians from the city in preparation to isolate and judaize it.
In its weekly report published on Saturday, the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s (PLO) National Bureau for Defending the Land and Resisting Settlements said that the occupation authorities announced a plan to expand two settlements, already established in the towns of Jaba’, east of Al-Quds, and Hizma, north of Al-Quds, by establishing 885 settlement units in both towns and setting up tunnels and settlement roads there.
The plan is part of the Israeli occupation’s policy of encircling Al-Quds and dividing the West Bank into isolated areas that are linked to each other only by tunnels, bridges and roads that are controlled by the occupation.
The report pointed out that the occupation also finished the establishment of a settlement outpost in Al-Magharbeh neighborhood near Al-Aqsa Mosque which led to obliterating the Arab and Islamic features of the area. The aim is to increase the number of settlers who continue to storm into Al-Aqsa Mosque and change the demographic situation of Al-Quds in preparation to judaize it.
According to the report, Israel continues with its ethnic cleansing policy against the Palestinians in Al-Quds as the occupation has notified tens of Palestinians in the east and north of city that their houses will be demolished.
The report also said that the Israeli settlers, under the protection of the occupation forces, seized lands in a town in Nablus and started to establish a settlement outpost there. They stormed into several towns in Al-Khalil, Nablus and the Northern Jordan valley and attacked the Palestinians and their properties and their agricultural lands, the report added.
