Obaid and Zasbekin: US measures against Syria violate international law

Beirut, (ST) – The Dean of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian National Social Party, Kaiser Obaid, and the Russian Federation’s ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Zasbekin, affirmed that the unilateral, coercive measures against Syria constitute “a violation of international law and are illegal and pushe the situation in the region and the world towards more tension.”

During their meeting today, the two sides stressed the need to respect the sovereignty of states, condemn any aspect that might constitute a threat to them, and consider the coercive actions of the United States of America “a flagrant violation of all international covenants, norms and laws.”
