Damascus (ST)_In commemoration of the heroism of the Syrian Arab Army and the sacrifices of its martyrs, the premiere of the movie “Qasam” (oath) opened at the Opera Theater in Dar al-Assad for Culture and Arts. It is different from the films that dealt with the terrorist war in Syria.
The writer and director of the work, Sami Nawfal, explained that the film is an embodiment of the heroism of our army, pointing out that the film does not document a specific military event, but rather talks about victory as an idea implanted inside the brain of the Syrian soldier. There is no way but victory when people find that they have to make decisions that lead to an honorable result, considering that this proposition is new and unheard of, and the film is suitable during the war period, before and after it, as it is a hypothetical event.
Actor Basil Haidar said that he played the role of a complex character in the military establishment, Lieutenant-Colonel Ahed, hoping that the film would satisfy the cinema audience in Syria.
