North provinces’ military airports see fierce clashes

PROVINCES,(ST)_As military airports at north provinces see fierce fighting, it is reported that several hideouts of terrorist have been shelled in many sites in south, east and west provinces.

According to the Damascus-based al-Watan newspaper, thousands of gunmen are taking part in the biggest military operation that aims to capture airports of Kwires, Menneg, and Abo al-Dohor in Aleppo and Idleb provinces.

“The airports’ guards supported by army’s warplanes confronted the gunmen’s continual attacks and killed dozens of them,” the paper stressed.

It also noted the latest development outside the capital, saying that clashes continued in the Eastern Ghota in Damascus countryside as the Syrian Arab army encircle the area and cut off supplies which were coming from Jordan and Turkey to the terrorist groups there.

In the same province (Damascus countryside), units of armed forces carried out series of operations against terrorist groupings in Harasta, Jobar, Darayya, Barzeh, Hajera, al-Hseneye and Hermaleh areas ended in killing unknown number of terrorists.

Meanwhile, the armed forces destroyed a factory for producing explosive devices in Joret al-Shayah alley in Homs city and confiscated a big quantity of ammunitions and weapons in Jneneh town, north Hama countryside.

They, in addition, shelled many terrorist groupings in countryside of Homs, Hama, Lattakia, Der Ezzour, and Idleb.

Unknown numbers of terrorists, including non Syrian ones, have been killed.

In a separate incident, terrorists fired mortar shells on a residential area in Aleppo.

At least 2 citizens were martyred and other citizens wounded by the 4 shells landed on al-Slemaneya area in Aleppo .

Citizens’ homes and cars were seriously damaged at the scene.

Syria is in a state of war and its army is doing its duty as regard defending homeland and citizens, and fighting terrorist groups to restore stability and security across the country.

The terrorist groups, who perpetrate heinous crimes against citizens and destroy the country’s infrastructure, are funded and supported by Turkey, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Britain, France, and the US.
