Nine Syrian companies take part in Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition

Abu Dhabi, (ST) – Syria is participating in the first session of the Abu Dhabi International Food Exhibition through a pavilion organized by the General Establushment for International Exhibitions and Markets. Nine leading companies in the field of food industries are taking part.

In a statement to SANA, Director of the Establishment Ghassan Fakiani said that the exhibition launched its activities yesterday at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Center in the United Arab Emirates. He added that the Syrian pavilion extends over an area of 126 square meters, where the nine Syrian companies are displaying various local products. He clarified that 445 specialized Arab and international companies from 41 countries around the world are also participating in the exhibition.

He pointed out that on the sidelines of the exhibition, a number of competitions are held, including the competition for the best product of coffee, honey and dates. The Syrian Haseeb for Food Industry Company topped the list of contestants, and won the award for the most innovative product in coffee through the golden category.

The exhibition, which will conclude its activities tomorrow, includes a number of dialogue sessions focusing on three main axes: food security, investments and innovation in food production food industry.

The exhibition will also host the first edition of the “ADIFE Awards for Innovation”, which is considered a platform that allows displaying the world’s most innovative and distinguished products in the food and beverage sector, as it provides visitors with the opportunity to keep pace with new global trends.
