Nine new breaches of the cessation of hostilities observed in Damascus and Lattakia

 

Lattakia – The Hmeimim-based Russian center monitoring the agreement announced that over the past 24 hours, the terrorist groups breached the cessation of hostilities nine more time in the provinces of Damascus and Lattakia, SANA reported.

The center added in a statement that terrorists from the so-called Jaish al-Islam attacked with mortar shells a number of towns and areas in Damascus while terrorist groups linked to the so-called Ahrar al-Sham shelled a number of towns in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

It indicated that terrorists from the ISIS and Jabhat al-Nusra are still trying to prevent the cessation of hostilities agreement from being applied on the ground through shelling a number of towns and neighborhoods in Aleppo and its countryside.

Five new towns in Damascus and Lattakia have joined the agreement of the cessation of hostilities in Syria as the number of towns and areas which joined the agreement reached at 476, according to the center.

 

On the other hand, the center said that a Russian plane delivered more than17 tons of humanitarian aid to a number of areas in Deir Ezzor which are besieged by the ISIS terrorists.

The cessation of hostilities agreement doesn’t include ISIS, Jabhat al-Nusra or other groups designated as terrorist organizations by the UN Security Council.
